The mission of uAspire (formerly known as ACCESS) is to ensure that all young people have the financial information and resources necessary to find an affordable path to – and through – a postsecondary education. To accomplish this mission, uAspire partners with schools and community organizations to provide free financial aid advice and advocacy to young people and families to help them overcome the financial barriers to higher education. Our continuum of programming provides ongoing college affordability guidance and information from middle school to high school through college graduation, ensuring that finances never get in the way of potential.

Position Summary

uAspire seeks a dynamic and committed Data and Administrative Coordinator to support the Massachusetts Fundraising and Development Team as well as the Research and Evaluation Team. The Coordinator will spend roughly 60% of his or her time assisting the MA Fundraising Team in securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The other 40% of the Coordinator’s time will be spent supporting the Research and Evaluation Team in the measurement and evaluation of uAspire’s high school programs and high school to college research initiatives. The Coordinator will have the opportunity to support uAspire’s work via data entry, monitoring and reporting in Microsoft Excel and Salesforce.

This full-time, exempt position requires an individual who is interested in developing skills in all aspects of the fundraising and data management field, has excellent attention to detail, is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and has an affinity for working in a values-driven and fast-growing organization. The Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Development Operations and provides support to the Director of Research and Evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Massachusetts Fundraising and Development Team: 60%

  • Assists the Manager of Development Operations with logistics for all events, manages the event registration process and attends all MA fundraising events.
  • Coordinates uAspire’s Donor Visitor Program to the uAspire office and/or school sites.
  • Oversees the timely entry of data into the Salesforce donor database and performs routine “clean-up” tasks.
  • Supports the MA Fundraising Team by managing all administrative tasks of internal team meetings and scheduling. Tasks include certain scheduling, database work, and follow-up tasks for the Massachusetts Executive Director.
  • Assists with stewardship activities, mailings and other duties as requested.

Supporting the Research and Evaluation Team: 40%

  • Manage uAspire’s high school student survey data, including organization of completed paper surveys and timely data entry into Microsoft Excel.
  • Support uAspire’s focus on data integrity by running regular quality check reports in Salesforce and communicating trends to team.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Research and Evaluation to prep, clean and organize data files for analysis.
  • Other duties as needed, such as reviewing and compiling research on specific issues related to college affordability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional setting
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Previous database management and reporting experience
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written skills is a plus
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Interest in further developing skills and expertise in all aspects of the fundraising field
  • Interest in further developing skills and expertise in data management and using data to improve student outcomes
  • Ability to work in a changing environment and as a part of a team, taking on independent tasks and supporting team projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel – and Google Mail/Docs
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is preferred but not required

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience.
